Anyone who practices a healing modality is invited to participate in serving the needs of others. Come take advantage of this opportunity to experience many different healing therapies. There will be no fees for these services but, as always, donations to the church are welcome as well as free will donations for meals and cabins. Please contact Linda 620-727-4329 (phone or text message)or llundberg300@gmail.com to reserve a space to offer your services, to register to attend the event, and/or to reserve a cabin. We hope you’ll join us!
THANK YOU REV. PAT YOTTER!
Rev. Yotter’s workshop “God, You, and Me” was a wonderful event for all who were able to attend! We are indeed blessed to have Rev. Yotter as a Minister of our church and to benefit from her teachings and her presence among us! Thank you Pat, and thanks to all who were here with us for the weekend!
Prayer Requests
All prayer requests are shared with the congregation each Sunday morning at Sunset Church. When requested, they are forwarded via e-mail as well. If you have a prayer concern, please call any Board member or e-mail prayers@sunsetcamp.org
If you have e-mail and are not getting the Newsletter online, contact Linda 620-727-4329, or llundberg300@gmail.com . If you have e-mail but are still getting the hard copy in the mail and would be willing to be taken off of the snail mail list, please let Linda know about this also.
KEEPING UP WITH THE BOARD
by President Karen Lyons
The Annual Membership Meeting is scheduled for October 6th in accordance with our Constitution. The newly elected Board of Trustees will be installed. This meeting will convene at 10:00 AM followed by a service and pot luck lunch.
We spent another wonderful weekend together with Reverend Pat Yotter! Thank you Rev Yotter for the time and work you obviously put into the weekend. By the way, thank you too for cleaning the bathhouse. I know that I have been enriched for having attended the workshop and my relationships will benefit as well.
On October 5th The Board of Trustees will host a Healing Convention/Swap Meet. The day will be dedicated to Healing. One may come and visit with those who have been called to serve Spirit by channeling that Spirit of Love, Light, and Healing. Share experiences, learn about the tools used in answer to the call of Spirit. Experience the power of Spirit when channeled through a receptive, willing heart. No matter if you have been called to serve, or are desirous of receiving healing, this is the event for you. Explore for yourself with others and exchange and experience the divine love and power of God. I can’t wait. This is one of my favorites. The Camp comes alive and is electric with the Spirit of love.
I am so busy these days, I don’t know how I had time to go into an office and work all those years. There is always grass to mow, something that needs fixed or adjusted. Something needs cleaned, oiled, put away, or set out. Busy. I am the happiest I can remember ever being. I am on my own schedule. Am I? The grass tells me when it is time to mow. The mower tells me it needs adjusted or fixed. The squeak cries for oil. The writer of the book of Romans stated long ago that no one lives unto himself. We are all intertwined with each other and our environment. The only real choice we make is to honor our responsibilities or to shirk our duties. I realize as I write this that my happiness lies in the choice I make each day to follow the divine guidance I am receiving regardless the sound of it’s voice. When I don’t follow that guidance, I often feel I have wasted the day. Really, I have.
