Keeping Up With the Board – from President Karen Lyons
The installation of new electrical service to all of the cabins is complete. New lampposts have been placed and new lamps. The result is very attractive and much more safe. I’m anxious for you all to see the improvement.
I would like to remind you of the challenge pledge toward the purchase of an additional cabin. That pledge is in the sum of $28.50. The challenge is that if one hundred members and friends of Sunset Church would match this pledge, it would pay for the cabin. The cabin has been ordered If you have not taken time to send your pledge, it is not too late. Once you have an opportunity to see these cabins, you will be happy to be a part of this venture.
The Board will meet next on December 3, my birthday. The Board will officially begin the work of planning Camp 2007. As always the Board would like to hear from you. What did you like? What did you find helpful? What would you like to learn this time around? If you know of a worker, reader, healer, or teacher that you would like the Board to consider, please let us know. In fact, if you are able to attend the Board meeting, that is even better. A lot of work goes into the preparation for and planning of Camp. If you would like to help, the Board would like to hear from you. As always we will be looking to our members to volunteer with the snack bar and other activities.
Looking to Spring, there will be quite a bit of work to do on the cabins including painting. The Board will schedule a number of work days as the time draws nearer, but I wanted to give you a warning in advance. We will need all of our members to pitch in and help with repairs. The repairs needed are a result of the electrical installation.
On behalf of the Board of Trustees, I would like to take this opportunity to wish you happiness and love as the traditional holiday season begins. I hope to see you as the season unfolds to greet you face to face. Remember the sick in prayer. Pray for each other with love, giving thanks that we share an inheritance as the children of Light.
Healing Work or Private Counseling available after any Sunday Church Service by an attending Minister.

And it came to pass in those days that there went out a decree from Caesar Augustus that all the world should be taxed. (And this taxing was first made when Cyrenius was governor of Syria.) And all went to be taxed, every one into his own city. And Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of the city of Nazareth, into Judaea, unto the city of David, which is called Bethlehem; (because he was of the house and lineage of David:) to be taxed with Mary his espoused wife, being great with child. And so it was that while they were there the days were accomplished that she should be delivered. And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn. And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night. And lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid. And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, which is Christ the Lord. And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger. And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying, Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men. Luke 2: 1 – 14
