Prayer Requests

All prayer requests are shared with the congregation on each Sunday morning at Sunset Church. The request is added to a prayer list and is remembered each week until the issue is resolved. Prayer requests received via e-mail are forwarded to the e-mail list as well

Please pray for one another, that we may all be lifted up.

April Workshop

Kevin Phillips will be facilitating a workshop April 26-27 on DNA Activation. Kevin scratched the surface of this subject with the class he taught at Camp last year, and we are excited to have an opportunity to learn more. Next month’s Newsletter will have more details, but mark your calendars now and plan to spend this special weekend with us in Wells!

CAMP 2008!

June 14 – 29, 2008

Camp Books will be going to press by the end of March. Please contact Linda Anderson, Debbie Grosser, or Rev. Evadne Tuxhorn immediately if you have an idea for a class that you would be interested in, or have knowledge that you would be willing to share in a one-hour or two-hour class setting. 

Volunteers are always needed and help tremendously to make Camp run smoothly. Please let us know if you are willing to share a few hours of your time.

Keeping Up With the Board – from President Karen Lyons

I am happy to announce that even though the ground has not dried any, the limbs that were damaged by the ice storm have been removed.  Believe me it is easier said than done.  Ron Glasgow along with the fellas and Aaron Pohl from Wells moved all the limbs to the edge of the roadway.  From there the County picked the limbs up and hauled them away.  A big thank you guys and to Javene Whitley who made sure the guys had a hot lunch.  

As I mentioned the grounds are very wet and muddy.  I heard on a radio station last week that this is the wettest winter on record.  As I’m writing this the snow is falling to beat the band.  As a result, the grounds and parking areas are very wet and muddy.  I would ask that as many as can park along the alley right in front of the Church on Sunday mornings until the parking areas dry up a little.  It wouldn’t take too much to get stuck in there. 

I would like to remind the ministers to get with Rev Ochs or Tuxhorn to help with the first Sunday in May.  At this special service the grounds and buildings will be dedicated and/or rededicated.  We would like as many of you to participate as possible.

That brings me to the next item on our agenda.  We have a new cabin that needs sheet rock hung.  Ron Glasgow is the project manager and will want to get this done as soon as possible.  Ron hasn’t made out a schedule for this project like he did last year.  Ron is not able to do so much of the work himself this year which gives the rest of us a good opportunity to step up to the plate.  If you are willing to help with this project, please give Ron or me a call.  We will do this in early Spring whenever we can get the help there to do it.  Of course we want to be finished in time for the dedication.  Please call.

Sunday class at 10:00 a.m. continues to study “The Way of Mastery”.  If you have not been able to get to Church since we began our study, you can still join us on this study.  You will find the book available at www.shantichristo.com.  The class is now starting chapter four.   Come and join us when you can.

Psychic Development Circle

Rev. Evadne Tuxhorn’s weekly Development Circle continues at her home in Lindsborg, Wednesday evenings at 7:00 p.m. Her Sunday Fellowship gathering is held on the third Sunday of the month.
