CAMP 2007
June 9 – 24
Camp will be here before we know it! WE ARE EXCITED!! We’ve been hearing from old friends who are planning to attend, and we look forward to seeing them again as well as meeting the many new ones who will come!
If you have not received a Camp Book yet, please contact Linda (620-727-4329), email lindaanderson4825@sbcglobal.net
There’s still time to volunteer to assist with Camp. Please let us know if you can give an hour
or two, a day or two, or a week or two!
HEARTFELT THANKS!!!
Thanks to the many hours and hard work so freely given by our members and friends, Sunset Church and Camp is looking more beautiful than ever! “Ron’s Crew” and “Karen’s Crew” have accomplished much! In addition to the upgraded electrical service and refurbished cabin interiors, Marge Glasgow has “remodeled” the flower beds and Rev. Evadne Tuxhorn has re-established the Medicine Wheel, both with tender loving care. We are so blessed to have willing hands to maintain these precious grounds. Thank you to everyone who assisted!
We also want to thank Jessica Palmer for providing her demonstration of mediumship on April 14. After the weeks and months of work that had been taking place, it was nice to have an evening of fun and fellowship and sharing of spiritual gifts. Thank you Jessica!
Keeping Up With the Board – from President Karen Lyons
Wow! Camp is almost upon us. The cabins are almost ready. We have the new carpet down and ready to move furniture back in. We will be moving the furniture on the 12th. If you can help, we’ll be needing you. Once the cabins are ready to go all that will be left are some finishing touches and some shopping. We are still accepting donations of paper goods and similar products to be used during Camp.
Even though it is true we have a little more cabin space available this year, I encourage you to make your reservations. The cabins will be rented on a first come first served basis as in the past. The best way to ensure your spot is to make your reservations as soon as possible. Some of you took no chances and called as soon as you got your Camp Book. If you haven’t done so, take a few minutes to sit down with your book and plan your stay. Call for your cabin reservations. I do not want anyone to be disappointed. I can’t wait for you to see the improvements. You won’t believe it until you see it. I would like to thank the Board of Trustees along with everyone who has taken part in this work for their investment of time, labor, and money. I hope that you will thank them yourself once you see the results.
The next Board meeting will be the first Sunday in May. The Board will double check all of the Camp preparations and put on the finishing touches. Last minute assignments will be made as well as any last minute decisions that need to be made. I hope anyone who is interested and able will join us. Look out though, we’re liable to give you a job.
Other issues on the agenda for the May Board meeting will be Sunday class time. This issue will effect those who so willingly fill pulpit on Sundays. The Board will discuss how to use the time set aside for class. There have been some suggestions. If you have an opinion about the use of this time, please come to the meeting or let one of the Board members know your thoughts. We will also be discussing other improvements to the Camp grounds and where to go from here. We also encourage your thoughts on that issue. Please remember to pray for the guidance of the Board. The Board is made up of men and women who strive to do what is in the best interest of the Church. Your prayer and support is wanted and needed. Thank you.
I look forward to seeing you at Camp! We’re going to have a good time! In the mean time, remember each other in prayer. Be kind to each other and greet each other with a holy kiss.
Healing Work or Private Counseling available after any Sunday Church Service by an attending Minister.

In Search of Bookshelves
Our book swap continues with a good assortment of books available. If anyone has any bookshelves they’d like to donate, Rev. Evadne Tuxhorn has offered to organize this collection for easier viewing.
BOOK SWAP
If you have any metaphysical/spiritual books you’d like to swap for some different ones, bring them along to add to those we have on display in the dining room. Leave some, take some, no money involved, just sharing with one another!
