IN LOVING MEMORY OF
GEORGE JR. EENHUIS

George Jr. Eenhuis was born on March 4, 1941 in Garner, Iowa and left the physical plane on September 6, 2006 in Northglenn, Colorado. Memorial service was held on September 9, 2006, at the Highland Historic Chapel, Thornton, Colorado.

George was a beloved fixture at Sunset Camp for many years. Our thoughts and prayers are with his wife, Sharon, his four children, and the rest of his family and host of friends. The physical world was blessed with George’s presence, and now the Spirit world celebrates his return.

Please call the Nicholsons at 402-228-3558, or e- mail peaceseeker@diodecom.net to schedule an appointment with Gary and/or Patti. Fees will be $40 for an approximately 45 minute reading and $40 for an approximately 1-hour body work session. Cabins are $25 per night for 2-bed, $15 per night for 1-bed. An evening meal will be available at the Wells Community Center in conjunction with the annual community pheasant hunters’ feed. We’ll end the day with a Circle facilitated by Gary. Keeping Up With the Board – from President Karen Lyons

It has been a busy, productive fall. Both of the new cabins are insulated and the sheet rock is up. The workshop facilitated by Rev Charles Cox was enjoyed by those who attended and I believe everyone was able to pick up a helpful tip or two. Not to mention the fact it is always good to just spend time with Charles.

The membership meeting was well attended. For those who were not able to attend, I would like to fill you in on a couple of items brought up at the meeting.

As the new electrical service was being installed, it was discovered that cabin eleven (aka: the bee cabin) was in very poor condition. The cabin is currently being used for storage and it’s future is uncertain. Leo Whitley pointed out that without the use of cabin eleven, the purchase of two new cabins had actually only resulted in the gain of one. The Whitley’s pledged $1,000.00 toward the purchase of another new cabin and have laid down a challenge to the rest of us to “shake our piggy bank” and to pledge whatever amount we are able to give toward this cause. One member has already done just that and made a pledge of $28.50 along with the challenge to other members to match his pledge of approximately 1/100th of the purchase price. $1,000.00 is about a third of the amount we need to purchase the cabin. You may email your pledge to Rev Norma Johnson, or send your pledge to Javene Whitley. I would like nothing more than to tell Leo to get out his check book. Please join me in making a pledge in any amount you are able.

The idea of adopting a cabin to refurbish or update has been raised by Phyllis Bernstein. Phyllis gave us all some ideas on how this type of program could work. If you have ideas along this line, please contact any Board member or attend the November meeting and share your ideas at that time.

The November Board meeting will be on Sunday afternoon the 5th. The Board of Trustees invites you to enjoy a weekend of fellowship and spiritual growth on the grounds of Sunset Church. I hope you will make plans to join us for as much of the weekend as you can. Don’t forget Rev Gary Nicholson will conduct services on Sunday morning as well.

Healing Work or Private Counseling available after any Sunday Church Service by an attending Minister.
