There are two types of people in this world.  Those that want to get rid of  old books and those that want to add to their library collection.  Sunset Church has a place for both at the upcoming “Leap of Faith” Mini-Psychic Fair.

To donate books, tapes (audio or video), and CD’s please drop them off on Sundays at the church.  All genres of books, tapes or CDs are wanted, needed, hoped for and desired.

If you need help transporting your donations please contact Kelly Graf at 785-738-3738,  graffer54@yahoo.com

A  Little Diddy From Leroy

Leroy shared these words of wisdom given to him in 1934 by his 9th grade teacher Miss Shannon.

“Let your life be like a snowflake and leave a mark not a stain ”

Judy Evinger found this beautiful poem to share with us.

“ Children “

Your children are not your children ~

They are the sons and daughters of Life’s longing for itself ~

They come through you but not from you & though they are with you they belong not to you ~

You may give them your love but not your thought for they have their own thoughts ~

You may house their bodies but not their souls

For their souls dwell in the house of tomorrow which you cannot visit ~

not even in your dreams ~

You may strive to be like them ~

but seek not to make them like you ~

For life goes not backward nor  tarries with yesterday

You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth ~

The archer sees the mark upon the path of the infinite

and He bends you with His might that His arrows may go swift and far ~

Let your bending in the archers hand be for gladness:

For even as He loves the arrow that flies ~

so He loves also the bow that is stable ~
