“BEGINNING AURA READING
Workshop with Debbie Grosser

November 3, 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Debbie Grosser will assist as we discover our own abilities to see and read auras. There will be a free will offering for the day’s events. Cabins are available (bring a space heater) and meals will be provided on Saturday, also on a free will offering basis (our usual Camp prices for these services are a suggested donation amount – for this weekend we ask only that you give as you are able). So we can better plan, please call or email Linda, 620-727-4329, lindaanderson4825@sbcglobal.net

A NEW VENTURE!

Rev Gwendolyn’s new business, “House of Color” and “JG Crafts”, opening soon at 806 4th St., Wamego, KS. Gwendolyn and her daughters will have a variety of handmade craft items for sale.  Congratulations and Best Wishes!!

THANK YOU!!!!

At our October workshop, Sandy Pohl stepped in to provide a spaghetti supper for the participants who had traveled a distance and arrived on Friday evening. Sandy, Aaron, and Nick often look around, see what needs to be done, and just do it. Tending the Church grounds requires constant effort, and thanks to the Pohls, the Glasgows, the Whitleys, and the Windhorsts, this beloved spot is never neglected.

PSYCHIC DEVELOPMENT CIRCLE

Rev. Evadne Tuxhorn will be facilitating a weekly Development Circle at her home in Lindsborg on Wednesday evenings at 7:00 p.m. The first session will be held on September 26. Call Evadne for more information and to hold your spot in the Circle. 785-227-3716.

Keeping Up With the Board– from President Karen Lyons

The annual report and installation of Board members was accomplished at the October membership meeting.  In new business, the members present passed a motion to finish the final phase of the electrical service project.  This final phase will upgrade the service to the church building and bring the entire service up to code. The cost of the project is $1350.00.

The previous day was spent in a workshop facilitated by Rev. Charles Cox.  The workshop was beneficial to those who participated.  The generosity of the participants came to a total of $1264.00.  Which may have contributed to the confidence of the membership to approve the much needed electrical work.  Anyone who has worked in the kitchen knows what this really means.  No more groping in the dark to replace the blown fuse, right Patti and David?  Rev. Charles, thank you…and so much more.

I want to remind everyone of the workshop to be presented at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 3.  I’m not sure what will happen and can’t wait to find out.  I would not be surprised if there is some drumming planned after dinner.  The cabins are first come first served (better have a heater along), and the workshop and other services will be based on a free will offering.  I believe at least one meal will be at the Wells Community Center to support the community’s annual Hunter Feed.

I am particularly excited to announce that in Sunday School, we will be studying “The Way of Mastery”.  Sunday School will be facilitated by Gordon Bengtson for this course of study.  The books were obtained from the Shanti Christo Foundation.  I invite you to check them out on the web.  The books are at the Church and will be available to those who haven’t gotten one yet.  I don’t think the books are available anywhere except from the Foundation.

I would also like to thank Rev. Evadne Tuxhorn for opening her home for development classes on Wednesday evenings.

As the Fall gives way to Winter, the Board will begin the planning of Camp 2008.  If you have an opinion or know who you would like to see working at Camp, contact a Board member and let them know what you want.  If there is a particular presenter or topic you would like to have a class on, contact a Board member.  This Camp is for you.

May the Spirit of Grace fill our lives.  May the Spirit of Peace fill our minds.  May the Spirit of love and light fill our hearts.  May we meet again soon.

Healing Work or Private Counseling available after any Sunday Church Service by an attending Minister.
