IN LOVING MEMORY OF
GEORGE JR. EENHUIS
George Jr. Eenhuis was born on March 4, 1941 in Garner, Iowa and left the physical plane on September 6, 2006 in Northglenn, Colorado. Memorial service was held on September 9, 2006, at the Highland Historic Chapel, Thornton, Colorado.
George was a beloved fixture at Sunset Camp for many years. Our thoughts and prayers are with his wife, Sharon, his four children, and the rest of his family and host of friends. The physical world was blessed with George’s presence, and now the Spirit world celebrates his return.

Keeping Up With the Board – from President Karen Lyons
The big news at the September meeting of the Board of Trustees was that the new cabins are in place and beautiful. A big thanks to Ron, Leo, LeRoy, and Eugene for overseeing the delivery. Of course they couldn’t keep me away. Marge, Linda, Javene, and I monitored the entire operation.
Our excitement was dampened by the passing of George Eenhuis. George was beloved by his family and Sunset Church. We all have a “George” story or two. George touched our lives with love and assurance that we were okay. George I miss you and I love you.
The Board also finalized the plans for the electrical work to begin on September 23rd through the 27th. Ron Glasgow will be in charge of overseeing this project along with any helpers he is able to enlist. If you are free any of these days or parts of any of these days and are willing to help, please give Ron a call. If you recall, this is a rather costly, but much needed project. When complete, all of the electrical service to all of the cabins will be upgraded. The light fixtures will all be new inside and out. You may not notice much difference immediately, but you will be much safer.
The Board also put the finishing touches on plans for the much anticipated Workshop to be presented by Rev Charles Cox on October 7th. The Workshop will begin at 9:00 A M and continue as long as you are able. Don’t forget the activities on September 30th as well. The Medicine/Prayer Wheel will be established along with other activities. The Annual Membership meeting will be the next day, October 1st.
In further business, the Board accepted several gifts to the Church. Linda Anderson donated a television and stand to be used as a teaching aid. Joseph and Sherry Evens donated two air conditioners for the new cabins. Rev Evadne Tuxhorn re-donated a new copy of the “Aquarian Gospel” to replace the one borrowed from the pulpit, but not returned. Rev Tuxhorn also re-donated a set of prints which have been displayed from time to time and disappeared from time to time from the seance room.
Get your reservations in for cabins for these weekends they are going fast. Ron tells me he hopes the electricity will be back on, though there may be some holes still in some walls. We will not turn anyone away. We can always sleep in the Church or downstairs on air mattresses or whatever we need to do. We are looking forward to seeing you soon.
Healing Work or Private Counseling available after any Sunday Church Service by an attending Minister.

Thinking Ahead – Camp 2007
From Debbie Grosser
We’ve been asking for your input regarding changing the dates we hold Camp, and perhaps you’re wondering why this is being considered. For a number of years now Camp has been held the first two weeks of June, but that hasn’t always been the case. In “the good old days” (prior to air conditioning!), Camp was held for the entire month of August! Some of our Church members have yearly conflicts (family reunions, etc.) during the first two weeks of June and are asking that we consider alternate dates. Following is a listing of the known area activities that we compete with each year. Please give it some thought and be prepared to vote on dates for Camp 2007 on October 1.
1) Same as it is now, June 2 – 17
(June 8-10 is the Smoky Hill River Festival in Salina, June 17 is Father’s Day)
2) June 9 – 24
(Same conflicts as option 1)
3) June 16 – July 1
(Father’s Day June 17)
4) June 23 – July 8
(July 4 Holiday)
5) June 30 – July 15
(Same conflict as option 4)
6) July 7 – 22
(No conflicts that we know of)
Since I am one of the people who would like to try a change for camp, I figured you all should hear my reasons. Actually, for next year, at least, I only think we should move it one week later June 9-24. This would do two things- first, it would move the Smoky Hill River Festival to the first weekend of camp instead of the middle weekend. That means I would only miss 2 days (even less if I come up on Sunday night) of camp instead of 3 ½ days in the middle. Second – Father’s Day would be the middle Sunday allowing those to attend the last Sunday who usually don’t due to Father’s Day. The weather would be the same because it would still be the middle of June. It will be such a slight change that most people probably won’t even notice the difference. Debbie Grosser

His favorite subject matter is using spirituality in a practical way.
“The most asked question I get from people is ‘How did you get started doing this?’. Well, to borrow a phrase from Nike…. I just did it. And the quickest path to discovering (or fine-tuning) your psychic abilities is to
do the same…..just do it.”
