Workshop with Rev. Charles Cox

Saturday October 6, 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Please see the attached flyer for more details on this enlightening day Charles has planned for us. Charles will also be conducting an evening Circle. There will be a free will offering for the day’s events. Cabins are available and meals will be provided on Saturday, also on a free will offering basis (our usual Camp prices for these services are a suggested donation amount – for this weekend we ask only that you give as you are able). Charles will conduct our Church service on Sunday morning with our regular first Sunday potluck and Board meeting following. The Board of Trustees for 2008 will be installed at this time. Please join us!

A NEW VENTURE!


Rev Gwendolyn new business, “House of Color” and “JG Crafts”, opening soon at 806 4th St., Wamego, KS. Gwendolyn and her daughters will have a variety of handmade craft items for sale.  Congratulations and Best Wishes!!

PSYCHIC DEVELOPMENT CIRCLE

Rev. Evadne Tuxhorn will be facilitating a weekly Development Circle at her home in Lindsborg on Wednesday evenings at 7:00 p.m. The first session will be held on September 26. Call Evadne for more information and to hold your spot in the Circle. 785-227-3716.

ALSO SCHEDULED AT EVADNE’S HOUSE

Lindsborg’s Hyllningsfest will be Oct. 12 – 14. Evadne invites us to her home for a front row seat for the parade at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 13. Bring potluck and spend the day, if you like. Evadne will also host a Sunday Fellowship on Oct. 14 at 10:30 a.m. including a morning meditation, followed by lunch “out”, and an afternoon discussion and sharing time. Sunday Fellowship will continue on the second Sunday of each month. Join us for a fun weekend as Rev. Tuxhorn graciously plays host for our enjoyment! 

Keeping Up With the Board – from President Karen Lyons

The September Board meeting was more or less a brain storming session.  We were just shy of a quorum so no proposals were actually voted on.  We did take time to stroll out toward the bath house and do some measuring.  This Fall we intend to make a path to the bath house with the hope it will prove easier to navigate than the stepping stones.  As it is the path gives new meaning to the phrase “tripping down the pathway”.

I am disappointed to announce that Jim Haynes had to cancel the Kiemotion Cranio Sacral Therapy workshop.  We intend to get with Jim and hope to offer that workshop in the Spring.  Several have expressed disappointment that they were not able to attend on the dates chosen in September.  If those of you who are interested would email when you will be available, that would help us in making plans. 

We are still on for Rev Charles Cox the first full weekend of October.  Rev Charles is always easy to listen to and full of good advice for our Spiritual journey.  Make plans to join us and keep in mind the weather will be getting cooler.  A space heater may be in order if you have one to bring along.

We are thankful to have Eugene Whitley back in service.  But there are still members who deserve our prayer and attention.  Let’s be about our Father’s business.

May the Spirit of Grace and Peace fill our hearts.

Prayer Requests
All prayer requests are shared with the congregation on each Sunday morning at Sunset Church. The request is added to a prayer list and is remembered each week until the issue is resolved. Prayer requests received via e-mail are forwarded to the e-mail list as well

Please pray for one another, that we may all be lifted up.
