I am a 3rd degree Reiki healer, a certified conversational Hypnotist, a former social worker and school teacher and a student of life. In addition, I have had the honor of being a minister at Sunset Spiritualist Church in Wells, Ks for a little over two years. I have been a member of the church for over six years.
Even though I had grown up not too far from Wells, I had never been to the church before. When I returned to Minneapolis, KS to be close to my mother who was in a nursing home there, I wanted to find a “church home” that was compatible with my beliefs about the Universe and the world in which we live. A friend in Lawrence had reminded me about Sunset Church, so my first Sunday back in my childhood home I drove to Wells, and walked onto the grounds. As I entered the church, I felt the peace and love that is for me the cornerstone of any faith community. I don’t remember what exactly was said, but I do remember the way I felt. I knew I was home.
While I currently spend most of my time in San Antonio, Texas, I get back to Wells as often as I can and always look forward to Camp. I hope to see you there.
